Book Release Eve

​Tomorrow is my book release day and the night before is always crazy. So here's how it feels right now: I feel like I'm getting my first grader (me in this photo) ready to go off on her first day of school, except she's going off into the big scary world to like, college or someplace where you're on your own. She's got her little Hello Kitty backpack and look at how her face is full of hope because she doesn't know what might be in store for her. Ah yes, so full of hope before life had beaten you down. I remember it well...and then I turned 7. 🤣😭 Here's to everyone on book release eve. May we all get at least a touch of sleep 😴
