I write novels about friendships, crushes, hope, dealing with self-doubt, finding where you belong as well as your soulmate. I like to think I’m just working through issues via my characters to help my readers work through theirs. The bumps along the road gave me a lot of material. One thing I would like to show is how we focus so much on what we’re lacking that we lose sight of what makes us special and what we have to offer. It’s so easy to get caught up in the comparison game, but we were all created for a purpose. I hope that through my books that I show my readers how we all have something unique and special to offer the world and that we should highlight that instead of trying to make up for what we feel we lack. The main thing has always been about helping others feel less alone in what they're feeling and going through and giving them hope. You can find my books here: www.krystenlindsay.com/buy.html

This year has been tough on a lot of people. I know this has been my toughest year personally as it's felt like getting hit from all sides with losses as well as other things I haven't discussed online. I've seen friends who lost both parents this year as well as so many other losses. I had a friend's mom who was such a huge supporter of me pass and I miss her and pray for my friend. I feel so lucky to have had Vivian's support and I couldn't have asked for a better cheerleader as she knew how hard I worked to get a book out into the world and she was always in my corner. I also lost friends and family including two cousins I was really close to including one who was a spiritual guide for me (he was a priest) and one who was like a brother to me. I was actually keeping something that happened from him because he was already so worried about me that I didn't want to add more on and when he died suddenly and unexpectedly it threw me. I'm still in shock frankly. His birthday is on Christmas Day and we both loved music and so I decided to focus on something he'd enjoy (good music) and post some of the happier songs of 2021 I turned to this year. One of the songs wasn't released in 2021, but it was such a go-to of mine this year (and Jane was a favorite of my cousin's as well) that it had to be included. I kept this list to just the uplifting and positive songs that helped because there were also a lot of sad songs that I also listened to this year. So here are my top 5 of 2021. Would love to hear what songs you enjoyed this year. You can find the playlist here: |
